Dan Trachtenberg will be directing the big-screen adaptation of Naughty Dog’s massively successful adventure franchise, Uncharted, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Trachtenberg is most notable for his work on 10 Cloverfield Lane, which was critically well-received, as well as an episode of Netflix’s sci-fi show, Black Mirror, called “Playtest.” Makes sense, considering the video game-centric theme the entry had.
Tom Holland is still attached to play the protagonist of the Sony-produced project, Nathan Drake.
Twitter user @nshady surfaced a clip from 2007—Trachtenberg was a regular on a YouTube series called the Totally Rad Show and had said he wanted to make an Uncharted movie. Looks like his wish is about to come true.
